STOP PLEASING....

     Heard a Very Good singer yesterday. Her rendition was good, she had a good range of songs, she was well trained in Classical which made her sing difficult songs well. 


    She had a good smile and was great looking.....


    After some time I felt she was smiling too much. She was taking names of people and acknowledging their presence. It all seemed so artificial after some time. 


  Does that really work....  I guess it does... everybody is doing it...


Does talent give you work or Pleasing... or Both ?? 


Well....  I believe in the former... The later will not take you far...

Me or my Car ?

    I was called for a visit at a plush apartment in Peddar Road. I usually travel by my bike, as it is 


convenient, can go almost in all by-lanes of Mumbai and easy parking. When i entered the building, 


the watchman asked me harshly " Kidhar Jana Hai"  I said "Jhaveri Sahab ke Yahan"   He looked 


at me ( looked down upon me)  and said " Wahan peche park karo aur register main naam Likho"   


There was no smile. 


For a moment I thought I was a courier chap or a Salesman. 


    Days went by, I was called again by the gentleman. This time I took my car as I had to Visit 


suburbs after the visit. I was sitting behind and working on the case on the laptop....  The car 


entered the building.  


     And look at the transformation....   I was greeted with a Salaam... A huge Exploding smile, The 


Car door was opened. I was told where Jhaveri sahab stays. I was escorted till the lift !!  Wow !!  


    I looked at the Mirror in the lift..... 


    I was the same. 


   I guess that respect was to the car, not to me.........

Met Him 5 Yrs Back

I was a student then. Was coming back from Pune In Deccan Express. I was very happy as for the first 


time in my student days I was coming in an AC chair Car. Suddenly there was a silence. Two constables 


entered, followed by a very "Top Boss" looking person. Very well dressed and Black shoes with a robust 


impressive personality. Yes.. He was a senior IPS officer. We started talking. He shared with me the books 


he was reading, and also gave me a few tips about Life. He said its Enthusiasm which is most important to be 


happy and Successful in life !! I sang for him couple of Old Rafi and Talat Songs. We shared our Email 


addresses and cards ( I dint have one then !! ) 


       The Saheb was escorted by Policemen at the VT station.I took his blessings and we decided to be in 


touch. It happened for some time, but then as always, lost to Follow up. 


      Few years later, another IPS senior officer mentioned my name to this gentleman while they were listening 


to good music. And the Connection started again !! 


    I went to meet Add Director General Prisons Prakash Pawar Saheb, at his Pune Office.We shared the 


Deccan Express Incident again... I was so happy to meet the "Humble" big Boss !!  He came to know 


about my Music Clinic activities for Police and Jail Inmates. . So happy was he that he asked me to conduct 


few more programs for the Police and Inmates.And the Letter was drafted in 10 mins. What an atmosphere in


his office. Many people with Great ideas had come, and Pawar Saheb was taking decisions so swiftly !! 


   Friends, we never know when opportunity comes.... Always be ready to grab opportunities...


Do your good work with sincerity. You may not get success initially. But you will get people who will 


value your work.... Just keep on working and Your Day will come.......   soon....

No body Really Helps....

I Used to take great pride in Saying I know "Him" !!! 


But does that "HIM" really do anything for you. 


and I realised  that,  I am doing more for  "HIM" rather than he doing for me !! 


Very few people really back you. 


But Dont stop Influencing Big people.... at the same time never lose your Self-Respect.


Things will happen if they have to.... But put a good price on yourself as well !!


You are Not cheap....  Big people like free stuff !! 


Dont be free....  Put a good price on Yourself !!

Why are you Late...

Why are people late. 

Excuses are never satisfactory.


Its a state of mind. 


Big people are never late. They are before time. 


I feel keeping time commitment is a biggest character commitment.

Thinking of God.....

    I was in train the other day. Saw a person writing gods name on a book. He was to complete 10 pages today....

    Is this the way to please God...

    Does God really like these things ?? 


    Will This really help...


    Are there better ways to please God...


             I Got my answer, and realized the ignorance of this person.... and the time he was wasting, which could have been channelized in much Better ways.

Test your friends...

One a while, test your friends.

Create a problem situation and see how many really help.

One must never expect anything from anybody, but once a while this exercise does tell you, who cares for

who does not  !!!  who is a well wisher and who likes you just because of selfish reasons.....

Its not about having hundreds of friends... How many are really close is the question  !!

My Old Grand Mother...

My Grandmother....  She Is in her Room Most of the Day. Seldom talks to anybody. 


Comes for Lunch and Dinner and Tea...  Everybody is nice to her, attends to her needs. 


She also sees the television and enjoys listening to her Radio. 


Today I decided to take some special effort. Went up to her. Held her hand. Told her to drop me till 


my bike. I asked her, will she come with me for a walk in the Garden Tomorrow. She said Yes.... 


with smile which I had not seen for a long long time.... 




Do we take efforts in making People happy, especially our grandparents ; for whom we are 


everything !! 

Forgiveness....

The Biggest Virtue in Man is the virtue of Forgiveness.


No person is bad. All are victims of background and Circumstances. 


People behave so as they are programmed to behave so. They don't mean to do whatever they do, only to you..


its just a general response to everybody. 


Getting angry over people who hurt you is hurting yourself.


Thinking of taking a revenge to punish him is punishing yourself.


Give love to people who hurt you...


You feel nice and realize that the world is too big....  


You soon Forget the "hurt" part and realise that what an experience you have got  !!


To Grow in Life....  and lo Spread Love... 

So much to say...

Met her after so many years...


There was so much to say, so much to speak....


She was she, but I was different...


Wanted to tell her that whatever i am today, lots due to her....


I lost her, and discovered myself.


Came close to myself....  


Wanted to tell her that the Music was due to her... and even the Success..


About the endless nights I have spent in thinking about her and more....


How I used to enjoy listening about her from people. 


No body knew about my feelings. Was in self and in oblivion. 


Knew this day would come..  Well it did....  


Was happy to see her happy...  


Well, Now I am always happy. 


Hope she appreciates my success, and is happy I am touching so many lives. 


Why am i bothered whether she appreciates me....  I dont know


Life moves on.... and I have moved on... memories do stay.. 


Pleasant Memories. 

I know i will Win...

And Before every performance, I know I will win...


And its not destiny...


God is there behind everybody.


Its just the training, the preparation, the hours of work which go behind. 


Its about managing the crowd.


Its about voice modulation.


Its about controlling the people not with you ; and involving the people with you.


Its about putting humour.


Its about having a feedback system all the time. 


I know i am going to win.... But that confidence comes only after Working and Training !!  

Hitting the top...

The are 2 ways to Go up...




One is the age old way, which our parents tell us, go slowly, steadily, build reputation and a time will come when your efforts will be recognized. You may be old then, nevertheless you will reach a position. 




The other is to hit at the top. To Make contacts which are decision making people, get huge sponsorship, placate "philanthropists" and get a "donation"  ( for Social cause !! ) Once you impress the top, the common follow. Its a herd mentality. But its only substance which can keep you at the top, not non-sense, whichever method you follow. 


So which to follow ? 


I follow Both. 

When will we get Justice ?

And When will The ordeal Stop...


When will The case come up...


When will the case Stand


When will the judges look into the matter


When will the rejoinder be filed..


When will the case be heard properly...


When will the Courts open after vacation


When will the new board look into the case


When will we get justice..


When...


Or will we ? 

Time... is Character

We talk about Character. And make big Statements. Reaching on time, Before time and valuing 


other peoples time is the biggest example of Character.


Learn to be on time. 


I am Never Late...


I never get traffic


Stop giving excuses.


Just be on Time.


Thats the Biggest Character Exercise. 

The Haircut...

The Haircut

One day a florist went to a barber for a haircut. After the cut, he
asked about his bill, and the barber replied, 'I cannot accept money
from you, I'm doing community service this week.' The florist was
pleased and left the shop. When the barber went to open his shop the
next morning, there was a 'thank you' card and a dozen roses waiting
for him at his door.

Later, a cop comes in for a haircut, and when he tries to pay his
bill, the barber again replied, 'I cannot accept money from you , I'm
doing community service this week.' The cop was happy and left the
shop. The next morning when the barber went to open up, there was a
'thank you' card and a dozen donuts waiting for him at his door.

Then a Member of Parliament came in for a haircut, and when he went to
pay his bill, the barber again replied, 'I can not accept money from
you. I'm doing community service this week.' The Member of Parliament
was very happy and left the shop. The next morning, when the barber
went to open up, there were a dozen other Members of Parliament lined
up waiting for a free haircut.

And that, my friends, illustrates the fundamental difference between
the citizens of our country and the politicians who run it.
