Perceptions...

Does Appreciation and Quality have a Connection..

I am Yet to Find out...

A Good Singer may go un-appreciated. A One Not so good may win  accolades.

What does a Common Man Like when he listens to a Singer ?

Its about how close you go to the Original Singer. Its about how much you smile, the stage presence,
the crowd appeal to the song and also your looks.

If you cant convince then confuse !
Many a times a Bad singer sings a Raga and he is appreciated, as nobody knows what he has sung.

A genuinely good singer, who may not be giving importance to " Unimportant" things may not be a
Popular singer.

A Good Looking Young lady singer who has all "Old Friends" and Strong PR tends to get more programs, due to her smile and placation rather than quality.

Its is very interesting to know, many a times that even Balanced people have liking, which do not
Fall in the category of Good !!

The recording does not lie... Try to hear the recording and the mark sheet will be in RED...

History has told us that this will not take one far.

Singers Must focus only on Riyaz of Sur, Range, Feelings and Projection. Its beyond you to make anybody like you or Dislike you  !!

AND AFTER THAT.....

Be Humble ( Atleast Show you are), Wear Good Clothes, Smile all the Time ( Till your Cheeks Ache)
Make people feel important ( All do it )

And then see where you Reach   !!!!

  1. Great Article. I am i agreement of the fact that good PR and old friends can make a not-so-good singer get applause. But it will not last long as the singer herself/ himself will find it difficult to carry on. Audiences will see through, some time or the other.
Quality is always unmatched. Sincerity and Honesty always pays great dividends in the long run.
Hence always pursue quality, be on top of the game and SMILE. Good dressing and dressing up for the occasion always wins you the audiences. Decide what to wear depending on the occasion and the audience.
